We will try to create a Smiley (emotions) Background.

Here is the tutorial.

Open a new document with photoshop.

Fill the Background with black.

Add a new layer

Select elliptical marque tool 

Draw a circle like this:

Go to Layer->New Fill layer->Gradient

Select a yellow-orange combination to fill the circle.

Now select pen tool

Add a new layer

Draw a shape like this:

Draw another shape like this:

Press ctrl+Enter for selection

Set foreground color ‘Black’ and press Alt+Del

We will gt this:

Draw some other lines with pen tool and fill with Black. we will get our glass :)

Add a new layer.

Now with pen tool draw a curve shape to make the mouth.

Fill with Black

Ok, We have created a cool emotions.

Add a new layer

Draw a circle with eliptical marque tool and fill with gradient.

Add another new layer

Select eliptical marque tool and draw a oval shape like this:

Fill with white.

Again draw another oval shape with elliptical Marque tool and fill with white color.

Add a new layer

Draw two more oval shapes inside white ovals and fill with Black color.

Add one more layer

with pen Tool draw smiley mouth and fill with brown.

Merge all layers.

We have two cool emotions now.

Just follow the processe.

Add layer, with the help of elliptical Marque tool and Pen tool draw more emotions as you like.

You can add more if you want.

Now merge all layers.

We will now add some extra.

Add one more layer

Select Bubble brush

set foreground color offwhite

Add some bubbles like this:

Add a new layer again

Select star brush and add some stars around happy smileys.

Ok, Merge all layers.

We are Done!!
